Preschool Age Arts & Crafts Christmas Projects On a Budget!


The holidays are approaching and you spent all of your money on gifts???


Fret not! Here are two inexpensive arts & crafts projects/activities you can do with your kiddos!








Giant Mint


Materials:

- Medium plastic storage bin

- White paint

- Glitter (optional)

- Red construction paper

- 1 Marble


Directions:

  1. Mix white paint with glitter (skip this step if you arent using any glitter).

  2. Add about 1/2 a cup of the paint mixture into your bin.

  3. Add your marble into the bin a shake it up carefully in order to coat the marble.

  4. Add your construction paper and place the marble on top.

  5. Have your student(s) shake the bin without letting the marble fall out.

  6. Hang to dry since both sides will be wet.

  7. Decorate your area with giant mint candies!



Gingerbread Cookie Hunt!


Materials:

- Gingerbread

- Icing

- Raisins

- Red and green M&Ms

- Spoon

- Cookie tray


Directions:

  1. Spread icing onto gingerbread cookie.

  2. Add toppings and decorate your gingerbread man

  3. Place gingerbread cookies on your cookie tray and leave the room (have an excuse to leave e.g. recess, potty break, snack/lunch time).

  4. Have an assistant move the cookies to another location while student(s) aren't present. Leave the tray at original location with crumbs on the tray.

  5. Have student(s) conduct a search for the cookies. Leaves clues at each location to allow student(s) to work on problem solving and critical thinking.
